last week of freedom

Being that it is my last week of freedom I've been trying to live it up...to a certain extent.

Saturday night at the Heilmans
Talking to Ryan and Jaclyn on Skype

And settlers of course
greedy!
These are my other four roommates. Oddly enough they all turned out to be Asian! Which is in part therefore, why my apartment has quite a bit of Asian flair.
But more to do with the fact that Grace just got back from Thailand.
Desmond says these make us total girls.
But there is a little American here and there. :)

Grace got us fisherman pants from Thailand!

Zoo Day

Last Friday Dad and I headed down to Columbia. Stop #1 was the zoo so I could try out my new camera and be schooled by the master. Though these pictures may just be of animals you've seen before, please stop and take note, stand in awe, whatever is required, because I worked very hard for them to be this beautiful. :)

This would be the master and his adequate equipment.

Weird bird, exposure, just right... (he was glowing in the previous one. lol)

Chillin...
Dad took this one. I cannot take the credit. I just thought it was cute.
I thought he was a cool looking animal. AND what you do not realize is that he is behind glass and an extremely long way away. I love that this camera has a mega zoom. Dad calls it a Bazooka. I'll go with that.
The Thinker

We have to give these guys and honorable mention. Believe it or not, they are the best for teaching speed shots. How you ask? Well because they seem to be in a constant state of love chasing. When Dad was there months ago they were galloping around then too.

What is so cool about this picture to me is that Fatso here, was behind tight wire mesh, but you can't even tell.

And now for my favorite photo shoot...

Check out that tongue action

When I was a kid, some church members of ours used to take us to the Columbia Zoo and, by far, my favorite exhibit were the Siamang Monkeys.
